PROFILE

NEA◦POLI is a Green Building and Environmental Design & Engineering consultancy for the Built Environment, with offices in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and London, UK. The name is derived from the Greek words nea (new) and poli (city), inspired by our mission to optimise and design the next generation built environment.

NEA◦POLI's philosophy is to create environments that are socially, environmentally and financially responsible and resource-efficient throughout their life-cycle: from site selection, to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition. Our practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, health and comfort.

We work with the client and the design team to meet the highest standards of sustainable development whilst maximising investment returns. NEA◦POLI's experience stretches from individual buildings and small developments, through to large regeneration schemes, and policy and strategy development for cities and regions. We work with developers, architects, urban designers, masterplanners and governments; we understand their objectives and resource demands and we look carefully at the human, financial and environmental context of their projects.

We have expertise in energy, waste, water, transport, green building, environmental design and engineering and ecology. And we have utilised this collective expertise for projects such as the new PKNS Headquarters (KL), Crystal Palace Park (London), Rohansky Ostrov (Prague) and Zizkov (Prague) masterplans. Integral aspects included green building, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste management, the supply, treatment and drainage of water, the distribution of energy and power, and the development of systems for IT, telecommunications and cooling.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

A) Green Building Consultancy

At the early conceptual stages of a project, we work with our clients to understand the vision and objectives. And we determine clear sustainability targets and outline the investment, infrastructure and criteria required to deliver it. This enables stakeholders to check feasibility, adjust plans, and have quantifiable performance requirements to feed the design and development stages. Undertaking this exercise early in the project ensures clear and realistic goals, saves time and money through more efficient upfront planning, and better protects project timeframes and delivery.

B) Sustainable Master-planning and Urban Planning

In the scale of master planning and city planning, our objective is to create neighborhoods that are both resource efficient, friendly, engaging and financially appealing. Our expertise can enable the delivery of developments that can keep cool in warming climates, that minimise carbon emissions, eliminate waste disposed at the landfills.

Creating a sustainable and a future-proof development, urban area, city or region relies on careful and holistic planning. At NEA◦POLI we have worked on some great market leading projects in Malaysia and Internationally and can utilise the extensive expertise to ensure we provide an integrated and holistic strategy to feed your infrastructure and masterplan.

We future-proof your strategies and integrate sustainability into both built and open spaces. We integrate considerations into the masterplan that identifies efficiencies, creates cost savings and can reduce construction times.
